We were using shared hosting for one of our website. We installed WordPress on it and when logged into its dashboard, it was showing below message in dashboard,
“Your site is running on an outdated version of PHP which does not receive security updates. It should be updated”
It means we were at some security risks with our website since our hosting was having older PHP version.
Solution : Login to Hosting Service provide using Cpanel and change the PHP version as shown in below video,
Steps we followed in this video are,
- Login to Cpanel Dashboard
- Look for option “Update PHP version” and click on it.
- Select latest PHP version and click apply.
- Come back and see the error disappeared from WordPress dashboard.
