How to Install Microsoft Teams on Ubuntu Linux ?

Microsoft teams is a online office workspace solutions providing features like online chat, videoconferencing, file storage. Teams is mostly popular and used by large companies for work related discussions between the teams.

Visit the page https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/microsoft-teams/download-app and click on “Download for Desktop”

This will ask you to download either DEB or RPM, for Ubuntu you need to download the DEB package hence click on “Linux DEB (64-bit) which will download the package.

Now, you can install the DEB package as,

$ sudo dpkg -i teams_1.5.00.10453_amd64.deb

This will install the teams on your Ubuntu Linux machine.

Now, you can start the teams from terminal as,

$ teams

Next, you will need to login using your registered username and passwords. ( Which mostly will be provided by your company)
